Systemic Integration of Climate Change in International Law<\/strong> (abstracts<\/em>)
The Centre for International Law at the National University of Singapore, in partnership with Durham University, Centre for Sustainable Development Law and Policy, will be hosting a two-day conference on August 28-29, 2025<\/strong> on the theme of \u2018Systemic Integration of Climate Change in International Law<\/em>,\u2019 to bring together scholars, policymakers, and legal experts to discuss recent developments in national and international governance on climate change and identify ways in which systemic integration and coherence can be achieved. We invite scholars to submit abstracts considered both for presentation at the conference and for a forthcoming publication on the theme. Abstract deadline: May 9, 2025<\/strong>. 5th ASEAN Environmental Law Conference <\/strong>(abstracts<\/em>)
We invite legal experts, scholars and practitioners to submit proposed presentation abstracts for the upcoming 5th ASEAN Environmental Law Conference.\u00a0The Conference will look at legal approaches to advance regional commitments for environmental justice, and aims to bring together the legal community and experts to exchange knowledge and examine potential legal, policy and community-based actions to transform environmental law principles into practice. Do you have a story or think piece about how we practice “the commons” in our daily lives? The Emancipatory Futures Studies project, along with CJCM, SAFSC, and EMSF, invites you to contribute to a knowledge commons on topics like simple living, zero waste, water sharing, and harmonious co-existence with nature. The CLIMCON project aims to generate new insights into the multidirectional links between climate change and armed conflict. Comparing two areas of protracted armed conflict in the borderlands between DRC, Burundi and Uganda, CLIMCON will examine how the emerging effects of climate change shape processes of armed mobilisation and how armed conflict in turn shapes vulnerability to climate change.\u00a0Deadline: May 5, 2025<\/strong>. The University of Chicago Law School is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time position training and supervising law students as a Clinical Teaching Fellow, appointed with the rank of Lecturer, in the Law School’s Abrams Environmental Law Clinic. Under the supervision of the Clinic\u2019s Director, the successful candidate will help to train and supervise students in all aspects of their clinic work, co-teach the clinic\u2019s seminar component, develop potential projects, assist in publicizing the clinic\u2019s cases and activities, and organize and coordinate relevant events, lectures, and other clinic activities.
