We cordially invite all interested academics, professionals, activists, students, and organizations to submit abstracts that focus on conceptual, theoretical, practical and experiential dimensions of ecocide.\u00a0Please submit your abstract (max. 300 words) and a short bio (max. 150 words) before\u00a0<strong>April 15, 2025<\/strong>. Registration for the conference is free of charge.\u00a0\u00a0All applicants will be notified by the end of April 2025 on whether their proposal has been accepted. After the conference, selected papers will be considered for publication.\u00a0See more <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uu.nl\/en\/news\/call-for-abstracts\">here<\/a>.<br \/><br \/><strong>Thicker Notions of Human Rights Accountabilities<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Conference<\/strong> (<em>abstracts<\/em>)<br \/>The\u00a0Thicker Notions of Human Rights Accountabilities\u00a0Conference revisits the questions of what qualifies as a human rights violation, who holds human rights duties and how to actually deliver human rights accountability in the context of pressing and complex challenges. It will be hosted by the Future Proofing Human Rights research project in\u00a0Brussels, Belgium from 19-21 November 19-21, 2025. We are inviting contributions that seek to reconstruct the notion of human rights accountability, divided across five themes: Change, Knowing, Duties, Harm, and Remedy. We welcome contributions from a variety of disciplinary backgrounds, including but not limited to law, socio-legal perspectives, criminology, and political science. The Clinic is a transactional clinic that provides legal assistance to disadvantaged California communities that lack access to reliable, affordable, and safe drinking water.
