Call for Abstracts, Papers, and Submissions:<\/strong>

Narratives for Ecological and Sustainable Transition(s): Nesting Theory and Praxis through Literature-based Workshops<\/strong> (abstracts<\/em>)
The conference centers around the concept of \u2018nesting<\/strong>\u2019 conceived of along two main ways: a) in its metaphorical sense, as illustrating the ethical framework for\u00a0applied approaches to narratives\u00a0for maturing a sense of care for human and nonhuman vulnerabilities, and to build a more sustainable, inclusive, intergenerational, and post-anthropocentric (Braidotti 2019) sense of home as \u2018oikos\u2019 for different forms of life; b) in a more descriptive sense, understood as \u201carranging one object or entity within one another\u201d (OED, 2024), \u2018nesting\u2019 points to the idea of\u00a0narratives put in contexts, especially along embodied and embedded educational experiencing\u00a0 – broadly defined to include both institutional and non-institutional settings across various educational levels (with particular focus on local communities and civil society). 22nd Annual Colloquium of The IUCN Academy of Environmental Law <\/strong>(abstracts<\/em>)
The Law School of Universidad Cient\u00edfica del Sur is delighted to host the 22nd Annual Colloquium of the IUCN Academy of Environmental Law, which will take place from July 1-4, 2025 in Lima, Peru. The theme of this year\u2019s Colloquium, “SDGs and Environmental Law: Achievements and Challenges after a Decade of Creation”<\/em>, invites participants to reflect on the impact of the Sustainable Development Goals on environmental law over the last decade. 300 word abstracts are due February 12, 2025<\/strong>. This position is located in the UNFCCC secretariat in Bonn, Germany, in the Adaptation division, and more specifically in the Response subdivision, which supports developing country Parties, with a special focus on least developed countries and small island developing States, in assessing impacts, risks and vulnerability in the context of adaptation and loss and damage, and in developing, implementing, monitoring, evaluating and reporting on adaptation plans, policies and actions. The incumbent reports to the Team Lead (P-4), Loss and Damage unit, supports the implementation of the Warsaw International Mechanism for Loss and Damage associated with Climate Change Impacts. The Centre for Climate Justice Senior Research Manager works with the Co-Directors to manage and support the research and policy projects of the UBC Centre for Climate Justice, and to advance the role of the Centre within the University and in the broader community. Climate Change, Sea Level Rise and International Law<\/strong> (online<\/em>)
This event will delve into the implications of sea level rise under international legal frameworks, including the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), and examine how emerging jurisprudence addresses these critical issues.
