International Conference on New Paradigms in Environmental Sustainability and Energy Laws<\/strong> (abstracts<\/em>)
This conference will delve into a broad spectrum of topics, including Environmental Sustainability and Governance, Climate Justice, and Energy laws compliance and regulations. This conference directly addresses these issues by aligning with the UN’s SDGs by exploring solutions that promote a healthy planet and a just society, focusing on critical areas like clean water (SDG6), Clean Energy (SDG7), climate action (SDG13), and more. The conference will be conducted in a hybrid mode, based at UPES School of Law, Uttarakhand, India. 300-500 word abstracts should be sent by August 25, 2024<\/strong>. See more here<\/a>.

2025 ESIL Research Forum – International Law in the Age of Permacrisis<\/strong> (abstracts<\/em>)
The ESIL Research Forum is a scholarly conference that promotes engagement with research in progress by members of the Society in the early stages of their careers. It has a small and intensive format: no more than 25-30 paper submissions will be selected. During the Forum, selected speakers will receive comments on their presentations from members of the ESIL Board and invited experts. The Call for Papers is now available. CPI is recruiting for a\u00a0Senior Manager\u00a0<\/strong>position offering an exciting opportunity to lead CPI\u2019s work in climate finance for agrifood systems more widely, specifically by running the\u00a0ClimateShot Investor Coalition<\/a>\u00a0(CLIC) Secretariat. We are looking for a candidate who has expertise and previous experience working in this space.\u00a0Reporting to the Director, UK, the CLIC Senior Manager will operate autonomously to lead the affairs of the CLIC Secretariat and engage with CLIC stakeholders. The Oil & Gas Manager will be a committed advocate, experienced lawyer, and enthusiastic team leader eager to help shape the vision and enhance the impact of the Climate & Energy Program as it works to confront fossil-fueled climate destruction, accelerate the transition away from oil and gas, and support affected communities around the world. The manager will line manage staff, including attorneys and campaigners, and oversee CIEL\u2019s efforts to: halt and reverse oil and gas expansion, through targeted legal and policy advocacy, global campaigns, and strategic communications; confront fossil fuel industry efforts to greenwash the impacts of its products and operations; and strengthen the global movement against oil and gas, particularly offshore. Macquarie University – MRes + PhD<\/strong> (Australia<\/em>)
Research project: regulation of well decommissioning and carbon capture. The project aims to examine existing regulatory frameworks around well plugging and abandoning (P&A) and the need for altered requirements when considering reusing depleted reservoirs for CO2 storage.\u00a0The scholarship is available to candidates eligible to undertake a four-year MRes Year 2 + PhD program.
