Call for Abstracts, Papers, and Submissions:<\/strong>

University of York, England – Gender, Climate Change and Activism against Natural Resource Extraction in the Global South<\/strong> (papers\/contributions<\/em>)
The Workshop, among other things, aims to bring to light the everyday, local and context-specific dimensions of rural environmental movements, climate change activism,\u00a0 the political struggles that underpin these and the complexities of seeking \u2018climate justice\u2019 that overlaps with social dynamics of land, gender, class, race and ethnicity. Most significantly, it will generate a comparative framework and bring together empirical evidence across various continents, pushing existing research agendas on this subject in a more expansive, globally relevant direction. 300-word abstracts should be sent by 29 February, 2024<\/strong>. University of Exeter, England – Interdisciplinary Explorations of\u00a0Ecocide<\/em>\u00a0in Times of War and Peace<\/strong>
The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Cornwall, in the University of Exeter and the Exeter Centre for Environmental Law invite you to a one-day workshop to explore the variety of socio- political, economic and legal dimensions of ecocide, especially as they relate to environmental justice claims. We invite the submission of 250-300 word abstracts\u00a0on the theme of the conference from scholars, lawyers, and practitioners who are working within Law, Humanities and\/or Social Sciences. University of Leiden, The Netherlands – H2OLAW Law-Science Interfaces within the Law of the Sea and Fresh Water Law<\/strong> (abstracts<\/em>)
We are pleased to invite abstracts for the conference \u2018H2OLAW \u2013 Law-Science Interfaces within the Law of the Sea and Fresh Water Law\u2019 hosted by the Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies, Leiden University. The conference will take place on 26 and 27 September 2024 at Leiden University in the Netherlands. This event will mark the start of a multi-year research project led by Dr Hilde Woker and Dr Jason Rudall, funded by a Dutch government starting grant. Abstracts should be no longer than 300 words and be sent by 31 March, 2024<\/strong>. See more here<\/a>.

Erasmus University Rotterdam<\/strong>, The Netherlands (PhD<\/em>)
Research project: Climate justice before courts. The envisioned PhD project will engage with the topic of political and legal philosophy in relation to the appropriate role of courts in climate policymaking. Although the candidate will work mostly with the methods of legal and political philosophy, they are also expected to engage with legal theory and legal sociological discussions concerning the topic, as well as with European and international climate litigation cases. The Turner Environmental Law Clinic at Emory University School of Law is seeking applications for its 2024-2026 Postgraduate Environmental Law Fellowship. The fellowship is offered as a two-year position, with the possibility of renewal for an additional one-year term.\u00a0The Turner Clinic Fellowship offers a unique opportunity for a recent law school graduate to gain experience in environmental advocacy, policy development, and clinical education, with a specialized focus on\u00a0clean and sustainable energy, regenerative agriculture and local food systems, natural resource protection, and environmental justice.
