University College Cork<\/strong> (proposals<\/em>)
Conference theme: ‘Rights, Remedies and Restoration in Environmental and Natural Resources Law<\/em>.’ The 20th annual Law and the Environment Conference at UCC will focus on various forms of environmental rights that may be asserted in law and on the full range of remedies and redress that may be available where such rights are infringed or impacted. Law, Environment and Development Journal<\/strong> (abstracts<\/em>)
The LEAD Journal welcomes abstracts for its latest special issue on ’50 Years of Water Law in India: Looking Back and to the Future‘<\/strong>. This special issue will be a multi-disciplinary attempt to collectively reflect on the social life of water laws formulated during the last five decades in India and their impact on society, economy and environment. Conference theme: ‘Agricultural Pesticides Vs Food Sustainability: A Need to Produce Ground-Breaking Knowledge from an Interdisciplinary and Dialoguing Perspective<\/em>.’ Through a thorough dialogue with scientists and a range of experts in the areas of environmental law, international trade law, food sustainability, and human rights, this international conference will explore the complexity surrounding the regulation of ag-pests. The four-part\u00a0series “In Their Own Words: Plaintiffs\u00a0and Lawyers Speak About Youth Climate Cases” will cover four leading youth climate cases in Canada and the US over four Wednesdays from 12:30-2:00 pm\u00a0PST. The first session will be held on\u00a0January 24<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0on Mathur v Ontario<\/em>, the second will be on\u00a0January 31<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0on La Rose v Canada<\/em>, the third will be\u00a0on\u00a0February 7<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0on Held v State of Montana<\/em>, and the final session in the series will be on\u00a0February 14<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>on Juliana v USA<\/em>.

Each session in the series will delve into its particular case and attendees will get to learn about the case from one of the\u00a0youth plaintiffs and one of their lawyers.

Water Signatures<\/strong> – Danube Museum, Esztergom, Hungary (exhibit<\/em>)
Kimberley Graham is the Artist-Scientist in Residence exploring human relationships with animals and nature as part of the Bridge Guard program \u2014 which aims to strengthen cultural relations between Esztergom and\u00a0\u0160t\u00farovo. For her project, she took water samples from five different locations (Danube River, Hron River Thermal Waters Sturovo, Primate Island floodplain Esztergom, and spring water from S\u00e1tork\u0151pusztai crystal cave), froze, photographed and drew the water crystals. She was inspired by the work of Veda Austin and Masaru Emoto to study water through crystallography. In English and Hungarian until 29 February, 2024.<\/strong> See more here<\/a>.
