Call for Abstracts, Papers, and Submissions:<\/strong>

Political Ecology Network (POLLEN) Conference 2024 \/\/ Conferencia de la Red de Ecolog\u00eda Politica <\/strong>(Conference Submissions<\/em>)
This conference will be hosted in three venues: Dodoma, Tanzania; Lima, Peru; and Lund, Sweden. Themes include, but are not limited to, ‘sovereignties, territorial disputes, and environmental challenges,’ ‘political ecologies of epistemic (in)justices and epistemic freedom,’ and ‘political ecologies of nature-based solutions.’ We encourage the submission of individual articles, paper panels, debates, art and other creative interventions in collaborations between academics, activists and artists alike. Canadian Yearbook of International Law<\/strong> (articles<\/em>)
The Canadian Yearbook of International Law, Canada\u2019s leading peer-reviewed international legal journal, invites submissions of articles, notes and comments, in English or in French, that advance critical thinking in all areas of public or private international law. Submissions for each annual volume are encouraged by 31 January 2024<\/strong>. Manuscripts should generally be in the range of 12,000-20,000 words for articles; under 12,000 words for notes or comments; and 1,500-2,500 words for book reviews. See more here<\/a>.

Voices for Just Climate Action – Hivos, Kenya<\/strong> (Global Program Manager<\/em>)
The manager is responsible to connect with the alliance members at global level, WWF-NL as lead partner and the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs as donor. The manager will represent Hivos in the \u2013 global \u2013 Joint Program Team (JPT) of the VCA alliance and is the to-go-to person for WWF-NL, the independent VCA Global Program Director (who reports to the directors of the Alliance) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Nottingham Trent University<\/strong>, England<\/strong> (PhD, fully-funded<\/em>)
Research focus: Wars and Climate Breakdown: assessing the legal consequences of the mutually causal relationship between environmental harm, climate change, and armed conflicts. This project evaluates how effectively public international law frameworks and international environmental law address the harms caused by conflict, environmental harm and climate change. Sabin Center for Climate Change Law, Columbia Law School, US<\/strong> (Research Fellows<\/em>)

Artificial Intelligence for Climate Change Mitigation<\/strong> (webinar<\/em>)
Please join the Center on Global Energy Policy at Columbia University\u2019s School of International and Public Affairs for a discussion of how artificial intelligence (AI) can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions. David Sandalow, lead author of the\u00a0Artificial Intelligence for Climate Change Mitigation Roadmap<\/em><\/a>, which was released earlier this month, will explore that topic along with seven of the report\u2019s co-authors.\u00a0Date: 17 January, 2024<\/strong>.
