ENVIRONMENTAL RIGHTS REVIEW<\/strong> (journal articles<\/em>)
Call for papers for the second issue of the Environmental Rights Review. We are looking for articles, opinions, case notes, and book reviews on the issue of animal rights. NATURAL RESOURCES & ENVIRONMENT<\/strong> (proposals<\/em>)
The American Bar Association’s Environment, Energy, and Resources’ magazine Natural Resources & Environment<\/em> will devote its Summer 2024 issue to articles on ‘Property and the Environment.’ NR&E<\/em>\u00a0editors are interested in proposals that address federal, state, tribal, and international laws and policies\u2014including statutes, regulations, common law, and treaties\u2014as well as articles that examine this topic in the context of litigation, disputes in international tribunals and environmental justice, equity, and inclusion. RIGHTS OF NATURE AGAINST WHOM? <\/strong>(abstracts<\/em>)
Obstacles and problems with the implementation of the rights of nature – workshop in the context of the research project ‘nature as a legal entity.’ This year’s event asks: Who are the actors addressing in their fight for rights of nature? How do they react or counteract? What difficulties do they typically encounter during proceedings? This workshop (mostly in English) will be held 17-19 July 2024 at the University of Kassel, Germany. 250-word abstracts should be sent by 1 March, 2024<\/strong>. Read more here<\/a>.

The International Law Association has established a Scholarship Fund to help graduate and postgraduate students and early career professionals attend the ILA Regional or Biennial Conferences. Emmett Institute on Climate Change and the Environment at UCLA Law<\/strong> (Project Director<\/em>)
The UCLA School of Law is seeking a highly energetic individual with state and federal energy law and policy practice experience to serve as Energy Law and Policy Project Director for the Emmett Institute on Climate Change and the Environment. This is a full-time, year-round, non-tenure track academic position with an expected start date of February 1, 2024.\u00a0Application deadline: January 15, 2024<\/strong> but are being examined on a rolling basis. Emmett Environmental Law & Policy Clinic, Harvard Law School<\/strong> (Clinical Fellow<\/em>)
The Emmett Environmental Law & Policy Clinic at Harvard Law School is inviting applications for a full-time Clinical Fellow.\u00a0 The position will be based at the Harvard Law School campus in Cambridge, MA. Expected start date is Summer 2024, with some flexibility depending on the chosen candidate. Given the breadth of the Clinic\u2019s work, the Fellow should be interested in, and able to, dive deeply and relatively quickly into new areas of environmental law. Children as Climate Citizens<\/strong> (webinar<\/em>)
Based on her recently published book, Kata Dozsa will present her concept of “children as climate citizens,” and provide a socio-legal approach to the participation of children in climate change matters. Climate Litigation in 2023<\/strong>\u00a0(online<\/em>)
Climate litigation has continued to expand in 2023. On 19 December, 2023<\/strong>\u00a0at 9am EST, the Sabin Center for Climate Change Law will host an end-of-year webinar on global climate change litigation. The webinar promises a comprehensive exploration of the key themes that have emerged in 2023. With a variety of speakers from the Sabin Center\u2019s Peer Review Network on Global Climate Change Litigation, the webinar will dissect pivotal court decisions from around the world, shedding light on the legal landscape\u2019s evolving response to climate challenges.
