Bianca Jagger launches report on fracking and human rights in the UK

BJHRFOn 30th October at 2.30, the public launch of a report calling for a full human rights impact assessment of fracking in the UK took place in London. Bianca Jagger, launching the report, said that the issue was one of enormous importance to ordinary people—and that the human rights dimension of the issue has been largely, and unacceptably, ignored.

The report was commissioned by the Bianca Jagger Human Rights Foundation and co-authored by the GNHRE, the Environment and Human Rights Advisory and the Human Rights Consortium.

The report calls for a moratorium on fracking in the UK until a  full, industry-independent human rights assessments has been undertaken.
