Professor of Philosophy, North Seattle Community College, USA; Director of Environment and Human Rights Advisory

Tom is a professor of Philosophy at North Seattle Community College where he teaches online courses, including Introduction to Bioethics, and Environment and Human Rights. He is the author of Environmentally Induced Illnesses: Ethics, Risk Assessment and Human Rights (McFarland, 2001). He served as commissioner on the 2006 New Zealand People’s Inquiry into Aerial Pesticide Spraying over Auckland. Dr Kerns is a board member of Oregon Toxics Alliance and Concerned Citizens for Clean Air, and Executive Director of Environment and Human Rights Advisory.
